A cake smash photoshoot is a perfect way to celebrate your child’s first (or second) birthday! This fun and joyful session will highlight your child’s unique personality as they dive into their cake, creating colourful and playful memories.
With custom themes, backdrops, and props, every cake smash session is tailored to reflect your child’s individuality.
When to Book a Cake Smash Photoshoot
The ideal time to book a cake smash session is a few weeks before your child’s birthday. This ensures you have the photos ready for the big day and gives us enough time to prepare the perfect setup and outfit for the shoot.
How it Works
Here’s what you can expect from your cake smash photoshoot:
Consultation: After booking, you’ll receive a guide to help you prepare for the session, and a catalogue of backdrops to select your favourites. Once selections are made, we’ll discuss styling and setups for your session.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to share your theme or colour preferences, and together, we’ll create something magical!
Session: Your cake smash photoshoot will take place in my cosy home studio in Hemel Hempstead. The room will be warm and comfortable for your little one.
Duration: The cake smash sessions typically last between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on your chosen package. We’ll take our time to ensure your baby is relaxed and comfortable.

After the session, we’ll view the photos together and select your favourite images, which will be professionally enhanced. This personalised approach ensures we know your preferences, leaving you with photographs and products you truly love.
Approximately five days later, you’ll receive a private link to download your images.
Additional images can be purchased at £45 per image.

My home studio in Hemel Hempstead is designed to meet your baby's needs. From maintaining a comfortable temperature to providing a clean, safe environment, every detail is tailored with your child’s well-being in mind.
Comfort and Warmth: The studio is kept warm to help your little one feel relaxed and at ease throughout the session.
Clean and Hygienic: Your baby’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Outfits and backdrops are cleaned before each session.
A Variety of Props and Backdrops: You will find high-quality props and backdrops to suit your preferences. From paper honeycombs to artificial flowers, cutout sets, fairy lights, colourful balloon arches and adorable outfits, I offer multiple options to create timeless and unique images. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your favourites during the pre-session consultation.
Parents: During the session, you are welcome to help me capture beautiful images of your little one. Join in the fun by dancing, singing or playing peekaboo. If your little one has a favourite toy please bring it with you.
Tailored for Your Baby’s Needs: Babies` are unpredictable. I allow plenty of time for cuddles. Patience is key, and I work at your baby’s pace to ensure their comfort and happiness throughout the photoshoot.
Easy Access and Parking: Located in Hemel Hempstead, the studio is easy to find and offers free parking.
